Launch of the Marsden Village Resilience Fund
Can you help us help vulnerable people in Marsden who will be affected by the Coronavirus crisis?
The Village Green is setting-up a Resilience Fund which will be used to create a food box scheme to help people in the village who are struggling.
We will be working with other local businesses and organisations and with support of Cllr Rob Walker.
If your income is relatively unaffected, can you afford to donate or even set-up a standing order for the duration of the crisis?

MARSDEN, YOU DID IT!
We can confirm we made the minimum investment value, with over £50,000 of share funds already cleared.
As importantly, we smashed our 300 shareholder target, with 396 different shareholders.
We’re planning an opening date of Friday 15th November.
We can now confirm we also qualify for the share booster scheme, who now only need to invest less than £10,000.
On behalf of the Directors of the Society, we thank you all.
Share Booster funding for The Village Green
The Board of Marsden Grocery Community Benefit Society are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been successful in securing equity investment from the Community Shares Booster Programme. This is fantastic news and means we can confirm we are able to go ahead with all our plans for The Village Green.
But our share offer is not over yet and won't be until midnight, Monday 4 November! So the next few days are the last chance for people to become member of the cooperative and invest in its future.
Cuckoo's Nest Grant
Great News! Marsden's own, fantastic, Cuckoo's Nest have given us £1,950 towards the refitting of the new cooperative shop.
We're so grateful. Thank you!
